The Collaboration Trinity
Common questions
What is the collaboration trinity?
The collaboration trinity is Ed Fassio’s three-question frame for human-AI collaboration: who decides, who can work, and who benefits. Governance answers the first, workforce training the second, and value measurement the third.
How should an organization prepare for AI collaboration?
Answer three questions in writing, with evidence: who decides (an AI use policy with named owners and a delegation framework), who can work (shared training in a common language like the Delegation Ladder), and who benefits (measuring returns to both the enterprise and the workforce).
Why do AI programs fail?
Most often because the three trinity questions are answered separately or not at all: policy exists but people cannot use it, people are enthusiastic but untrained, or productivity gains are never converted into value anyone can point to.
